The outfit led by Miguel Ángel de Castro and Pedro Martínez de la Rosa has made its first driver announcement for 2017
Brazilian Christian Hahn will make his debut in the Euroformula Open as he will drive a Drivex-entered Dallara F312 next year after the announcement made by the Spanish team this afternoon. Hahn´s motorsport career is particularly successful in Formula 3-based series in Brazil, where he took 3rd place in drivers´ standings achieving three podiums and one win. Hahn has already carried out several testing sessions with Drivex and the Euroformula Open will be the next big step forward in his career.
Hahn underlined that "after two years racing in Brazil, I am prepared to take a new step in my career. I have learned a lot here and now I´m looking forward to do the same in Europe. Of course that it is not easy to make your debut there. I will need an adaptation period but for sure I´m keen to take on such a new challenge. I am extremely happy joining Drivex. My first contact with my new team was in Barcelona, and everybody is very motivated. We had other possibilities but I felt immediately at home with Drivex. To be part of this team makes me confident."
“I am delighted to welcome Christian to Drivex. We have followed his performance throughout the season in Brazil very closely. He has lots of talent behind a steering wheel and we immediately notice it during our private tests. It is never an easy task to make your debut on the old continent but I have the utmost confidence in his high performance driving abilities. We have to give him the right adaptation period but he will make an impression in the series, just like in private testing. We will make every effort to ensure the best season possible. There will be no limits to our efforts and after our second place in the drivers´ standings and title in rookies´ class we are looking for even more success”, de Castro added.
