Devlin DeFrancesco and Ferdinand Habsburg made their IMSA debut during last weekend’s Roar Before the 24 at Daytona. DeFrancesco, who ranked 3rd in the Euroformula Open and secured the same spot in the rookies’ trophy last year, drove a JDC-Miller MotorSports-entered Oreca 07 Gibson. The Canadian driver got on the pace quickly. On the other hand, Austrian Habsburg – who claimed the Vice-Championship two years ago- also performed well in his Jackie Chan Oreca 07 Gibson.
The 24 hours of Daytona will take place on January 27-28 with Formula 1 stalwarts Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll or Paul di Resta or other revered names such as Bruno Senna or Christian Fittipaldi also joining the field.
