German Fittje and Russian Chuklin will drive for Drivex and Fortec respectively at Paul Ricard
The entry list for Euroformula Open’s Winter Series at the Paul Ricard will have several additions including two well-known drivers with previous experience in the championship. Germany’s Jannes Fittje (Drivex) and Russia’s Alexey Chuklin (Fortec) are back at the wheel of two Dallara F312 cars.
Fittje will join Christian Hahn and Lukas Dunner at Drivex expecting to repeat last year’s performance at this circuit during Winter Series. The German driver secured pole position and came second later in the race. Fittje also stepped onto the podium once again during Round 3 held at Paul Ricard.
On the other hand, Chuklin will drive a third car of Fortec teaming up with Petru Florescu and Calan Williams. Chuklin made his debut in the series in 2013 and from then on he did at least one round or test till now. The Russian driver – but racing under Ukrainian flag due to his racing license- explains: "I am very excited to join the Fortec crew once more, even if it's just for this one event. The atmosphere within the team has always been great and they are no doubt one of the strongest teams in the championship. For sure it will not be easy to jump in a car that I have been out of for 8 months and be fast immediately, but I accept the challenge."
The full entry list will be released tomorrow.
