Florescu (Fortec) beats Siebert (Campos Racing) to pole by one thousandth of a second

Around one second covered no less than eleven cars in the second qualifying session in rainy conditions at Estoril. Florescu scored his maiden pole position in the series ahead of Siebert. Drugovich (RP Motorsport) and Fittje (Drivex) will tackle the race from the second row

Just one-thousandth of a second separated Romanian Petru Florescu (Fortec Motorsports) from Argentinean Marcos Siebert (Campos Racing) to secure the pole position by the slimmest of margins. Florescu, with a lap of 1m45.210s, managed to steal the pole position away from Siebert by just 0.001 seconds in a rain-marred qualifying session.

Saturday race winner Felipe Drugovich (RP Motorsport) took the 3rd spot ahead of Jannes Fittje (Drivex), who will start from fourth on the starting grid. Further adrift, Cameron Das was 5th fastest for Carlin ahead of Bent Viscaal (Teo Martín Motorsport). Aldo Festante (RP Motorsport) will start alongside his teammate Guilherme Samaia on row fourth and, finally, Calan Williams (Fortec Motorsports) and Lukas Dunner (Drivex) rounded out the top ten.

The second race is scheduled to being at 13.15 (CET).
