Two other young stars joining the Italy-based racing team for Round 6
RP Motorsport has today announced that American Kaylen Frederick and Italian Leonardo Lorandi will join series leader Felipe Drugovich and Guilherme Samaia at Monza.
Frederick was born in Potomac (Maryland, USA) and after competing in the F4 United States Championship and the USF2000 Championship will make his first appearance in Europe. Frederick, aged 16, has numerous podium finishes in his country’s top domestic competitions.“Wow! It’s great to make my debut at Monza, which is a prestigious and beloved race track. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to make my debut in the Euroformula Open. Of course, I’m looking forward to driving the Dallara! I have so much to learn but considering how experienced RP Motorsport is, it will make things a bit easier”says Frederick.
Leonardo Lorandi, the brother of Formula 2 driver Alessio Lorandi, will get his first taste of a Formula 3-based car at Monza. Lorandi currently leads the Italian Formula 4 championship and is another driver to watch out throughout the weekend. Ahead of his debut, Lorandi explains:“I would like to thank RP Motorsport because they are giving me a chance to start racing in a top series. It’s great to join the defending champions in the Euroformula Open. I don’t think it puts pressure on me but, rather, it’s a fantastic experience to learn from. I don’t have a particular goal, just to help RP Motorsport to clinch the title.”
