Poland’s Filip Kaminiarz will return to Euroformula as a CryptoTower Racing Team driver this year.
The 19-year-old started his car racing career in 2017 in touring cars, before switching to single-seaters in 2018 and coming second in Formula Gulf Academy and then 15th in the Spanish Formula 4 championship. He then returned to the Middle East in 2019 to race in the United Arab Emirates’ F4 series, and towards the end of that year Kaminiarz made the step up to Euroformula at Autodromo Nazionale Monza.
“I’m very excited to be making my full-time Euroformula Open debut with such an experienced and successful outfit as the CryptoTower Racing Team with the support from Motopark,” said Kaminiarz.
"Knowing that I have a championship-winning team behind me makes me confident that this will be a good season.
“The level of the Championship is always very high and this year will be no different, so I’ll be focusing on making progress in every race and hoping to fight for better and better positions with every round, while also taking full use of the vast experience of my team.”
Timo Rumpfkeil, team principal of the Motopark outfit that provides technical support to CryptoTower, added: “I am very happy to welcome Filip to the team. Filip has performed some very good tests during the winter 2020 with us where he showed great progress and speed.”
