American driver Bryce Aron will contest this season's EuroFormula Open with Team Motopark, it was announced today.
The Illinois-born 19-years-old ace steps up for his first full campaign in continental Europe after a successful two-year spell in British national F3 series, culminating in eight top 10 finishes and three podiums, including his maiden GB3 victory. The former Team USA Scholarship winner is targeting the EuroFormula Open crown despite being unfamiliar with the majority of circuits that he will be visiting in 2023.
Bryce Aron commented: "I couldn't ask to join a better team for my first foray into racing in mainland Europe. Motopark has been the name to beat in recent seasons and I fully expect to be keeping them at the front of the field in 2023. Of course, I will be seeing many of the circuits for the first time, but I like to think that I'm a quick learner and, knowing that this season is an important step up the ladder, want to use it to gain vital knowledge and experience of venues that I hope to return to in higher series in the future."
Motopark’s Timo Rumpfkeil added: “We are delighted to have Bryce on board. We have been testing with Bryce a couple of times last year and all the time he has been really competitive right from the go. He has a huge potential and he’ll be a title contender, we look forward to a great 2023 with him.”
