Motopark ended 2023 winter test with intensive sessions in Barcelona

The New Year break has put a temporary end to the winter test activity which, as per tradition, for Motopark with a four-day test at Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona. The Dallaras 320 of the German team were sharing the track with numerous other single-seaters of other categories (GP3, FRECA, Euro3, GB 3, F4), in excellent weather and track conditions.

Motopark’s winter test programme has included previoud stops at Paul Ricard, Spa-Francorchamps and the Red Bull Ring. The squad was present with four cars at Catalunya and tested with eight different drivers. Lap times have been very good, in the region of 1m31s, matching the qualifying times of the closing round of the Euroformula Open, and beating by 5 seconds the best FRECA cars at the test.

Motopark team principal Timo Rumpfkeil commented: “Again, Barcelona was our last test before the end-of-year break, and it was nice to be there for what is always a very productive session. We look forward to an exciting 2024 Euroformula Open season and are actively preparing it. We are talking to and testing with a number of very promising drivers. It is still too early to be making names but soon we will be able to be more specific about our plans.”
