Third pole for Brad Benavides (Motopark)

Brad Benavides took his third pole position of the season in again a sunny morning in Barcelona posting a time of 1.31.296 in his Dallara of Team Motopark. The championship leader fought at the end of the session with teammate José garfias, beating the Mexican by 0s189 in the last attempt.

“I am happy with this pole, I actually wanted to have more at this stage of the season, but it’s ok”, said the American, “it was not an easy session because conditions changed quickly from the first to the second attempt and the tyres really has a very short peak, in the first lap of each attempt.”

In row 2 will be Edward Pearson (+0s224) and Francesco Simonazzi (BVM, +0s467), both potential candidates for a race win, while returnee Vladislav Ryabov (+0s718) managed to beat Fernando Barrichello (0s775) and debuting Ricardo Escotto (1s111).
