It was an excellent 71th run of the prestigious Macau GP for former Euroformula Open drivers: Oliver Goethe, driving for MP Motorsport, and Noel León, racing for KcMG Pinnacle, finished on the podium, second and third respectively.
The two former EFO champions (the Dane was crowned in 2022 and the Mexican in 2023) were only beaten by Ugo Ugochukwu (R-Ace) in the competition held with F.Regional single-seaters. Interestingly enough, the same trio was at the top on the starting grid, in Saturday’s Qualifying Raceand in Sunday’s Grand-Prix.
While Ugo Ugochukwu never raced in the Euroformula, he has a family connection to the series. The US-born driver is the son of a Nigerian top model and a well-known Italian fashion designer and businessman, Luca Orlandi, who raced in the then Euro F3 Open in 2011-13 and clinched a 3rd place in the Cup class in his first season, driving for the West-Tec squad.
