Oliver Goethe joins Team Motopark's 2022 Euroformula line-up

Oliver Goethe completes Team Motopark’s driver line-up for the 2022 Euroformula season, joining the series after successful tests with the German team.

The 17-year-old Dane has already got his racing preparations underway this year as he went to the United Arab Emirates for the Formula Regional Asian Championship, coming 25th in the standings.

It was his second campaign in F.Regional, having been a points scorer in last year’s European championship, and he arrives in Euroformula with race-winning form in the Spanish Formula 4 championship too and several years of experience in international karting.

“I am really excited to join Motopark,” said Goethe, who is an athlete of the Bullet Sports Management group that has had many of its drivers use Euroformula as an important step in their motorsport careers. “The team has an impressive track record, and I’ve enjoyed working with them during the pre-season testing. I can’t wait to get the season started!”

Goethe will be team-mate to fellow Spanish F4 graduate Alex García and his FRAC rival Frederick Lubin.

“I am very pleased to welcome Ollie to the team,” Motopark’s team principal Timo Rumpfkeil said. “During the winter 2021 tests Ollie immediately started on a very high level and progressed well from there.  He works very focused and fits the team very well. I am confident that we will achieve strong results together!”

The Euroformula season opener takes place at Estoril Circuit on April 30 - May 1, and Goethe will spend his time until then split between testing and his studies at Millfield School.
