Josh Mason makes move to CryptoTower Racing for 2022 Euroformula attack

10.03.2022

Josh Mason will move to CryptoTower Racing Team for his second Euroformula Open season, building on the successful rookie campaign he had in 2021.

The 19-year-old, a graduate of the GB3 championship where he won two races, drove for Double R Racing last year and scored points 14 times to finish ninth in the standings. His best race result was a fourth place at the Hungaroring, and he qualified on the front row at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

After the season he joined CryptoTower Racing for testing the lightweight, halo-shod Dallara 320 in Europe and impressed the squad, leading to him committing to a second year in Euroformula.

“I’m really looking forward to racing in the Euroformula Open this year with CryptoTower Racing,” said Mason. “From racing in this championship, I’ve learnt a lot in 2021. Just can’t wait to get back on track and start competing with CryptoTower Racing. I want to say a big thanks to my sponsors/partners for this year - Remax Cayman, Axon LTD, Bovell and Azure Jets.”

He completes the team’s three-car line-up provisionally alongside Vlad Lomko and Christian Mansell.

“I am very happy to have Josh with us for the 2022 season,” said CryptoTower. “We have followed his results and progression in recent years and very closely during the 2021 season of Euroformula Open where he showed great potential. During the 2021 winter tests Josh has integrated himself seamlessly into the team and his pace was very good from the start. I am confident that Josh will be a strong contender during the 2022 season of Euroformula Open.”
